As we evolve and educate ourselves, we will seek to perfect this safe, energetic environment, where everyone feels accepted and respected.Reporting to the Club Manager, the Fitness Trainer will be responsible for running the Planet Fitness group program (PE@PF) while supporting the club manager to drive member retention and club revenue. This includes assisting new members in the achievement of their fitness goals by designing a simple workout program and instructing them on the proper use of equipment.Skills RequiredCustomer Service experience preferredBasic computer proficiency and strong attention to detailConsistent punctuality and reliabilityStrong communication skillsAbility to work well in a team environmentWillingness to learn and adaptProblem-solving mindsetAbility to follow instructions and complete tasks independentlyNationally Certified Training CertificateA passion for fitness and healthUpbeat and positive attitudeEssential Duties and ResponsibilitiesConduct and run the PE@PF program: This requires fitness consultations and introducing members to the benefit of our programAssist members on the gym floor with proper use of equipment and engage to peak interest in PE@PF programAssist club staff in maintaining cleanliness of club. This includes: bathroom checks, 30 minute circuit room, PF 360 area and continuous racking/re-rack of weights as neededAs needed support for front desk (e.g.- check-in members, club tours, info calls and greeting)Maintain participation log of each facilitated class to monitor PE@PF program performanceMaintain accredited certifications throughout employment: Personal Training and CPRComplete company assigned trainings and additional learning as directedInspire and motivate others to achieve their goalsDemonstrate professionalism, reliability, and a positive attitude while motivating members and supporting a welcoming, Judgement Free environment.Physical DemandsAbility to stand for extended periods during shifts.Frequent walking throughout the facility.Occasional lifting and carrying of items up to 100 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation.Reaching, bending, and kneeling.Ability to work in a busy, noisy fitness environment.For a copy of Flynn Group’s Workplace Privacy Notice, please visit Group is an equal opportunity employer.
